Happy hour at Town Square Las Vegas: Saffron Hour at Kebab & Kurry

Saffron Hour at Kebab & Kurry runs every day from 3 PM to 6 PM, dine in, at Town Square Las Vegas. Signature cocktails are $10, house wine by the glass is $8 and beer is $6. The food spans Persian dips, Indian chaat and dishes from the fire. Here is what is on the offer and how its portions compare with the regular menu.
Cocktails, lassi and tea
The drinks list includes Mango Lassi at $5 and Masala Chai or Persian Tea at $3. A chai or lassi counts as a drink for the bites offer, so the food choices are also available with a nonalcoholic order. The regular menu lists Mango Lassi at $7, Masala Chai at $5 and Persian Tea at $5.
Bites with any drink
Veg Pakora, Pani Puri, Hummus with warm bread and Baba Ghanoush are each $8 during Saffron Hour. Veg Pakora uses seasonal vegetables in gram flour batter, fried and served with chutneys. Pani Puri is described as puff-pastry balls filled with spiced mashed potato and tamarind juice. Hummus combines chickpeas and tahini with olive oil and garlic. Baba Ghanoush is a smoky roasted eggplant dip with tahini and garlic.
Samosa Chaat, Palak Chaat and Falafel are each $10. The Samosa Chaat layers potato, pea and herb pastry with warm chickpeas, sweet-and-spicy chutneys and fresh herbs. Palak Chaat starts with crispy spinach fritters, then adds potato, mint, sweet yogurt sauce, spices, fried vermicelli, cilantro and pomegranate seeds. Falafel is fried chickpea patties with herbs and spices. The Saffron Hour menu lists all seven bites under the with-any-drink condition.
From the fire and the board for two
The From the fire choices are a Koobideh skewer, beef or chicken, Chicken Tikka, and Malai Paneer Tikka, each $13. These are one skewer or a half portion, with naan. Chicken Tikka is chicken marinated in yogurt and spices, then roasted in the tandoor. Malai Paneer Tikka uses paneer marinated with cream, yogurt, cheese and aromatic spices before chargrilling.
The Saffron Hour board for two is $36: Hummus, Samosa Chaat, one Koobideh skewer, half a Chicken Tikka and Garlic Naan. Add Garlic Naan is listed at $4. That bread is topped with fresh garlic and coriander leaves and baked in the clay oven, with an option of butter on the regular menu.
Plan an afternoon at Town Square
The full menu has the regular kebab plates, curries and biryani. Koobideh Kebab (Beef), for example, is $25 with saffron rice and grilled tomato; it is a different order from the Saffron Hour skewer with naan. The regular dessert menu includes Baklava at $6, a pastry filled with nuts and syrup, and Gulab Jamun at $9, milk dumplings in rose-scented sugar syrup. Saffron Hour is dine in only and cannot be combined with other offers.
